Application Process
If you are an active Nova Scotia Firefighter or a family member of one, and you are facing an acute crisis, you may be eligible for financial assistance.
Contact Your Chief
All applications for funding must be initiated through your department chief.
Review Criteria
Your chief will review the situation against our three core programs: Immediate, Ongoing, or Extraordinary Need.
Application Submission
The chief submits the application on your behalf to the NSFBF board for review.
Confidential Approval
Once approved, funds are disbursed quickly while maintaining absolute confidentiality of the recipient.
